Good for you Hot Chocolate

Not trying to sound biased, but this is the best Hot Chocolate I ever had! It does not leave you feeling all sugared up and sluggish from all the chocolate syrup and milk normally associated with a chocolate drink. My Hot Chocolate is dairy free and without any added sugar. The sweetness of the drink comes from the pears!

And the hemp seeds supply protein so you can power through the morning. Of course, you can also enjoy this ice cold in the heat of the summer!

Ingredients

  • 1-2  pears
  • ¼ cup hemp seeds
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 cups  hot water
  • pinch of cinnamon for topping (optional)

Preparation

  1. Cut the pear into pieces
  2. Put all ingredients into a blender and blend on smoothie setting until well blended

Tips

The blending will add a natural foam on top. You can sprinkle a little Cinnamon, coffee or chili powder on top to change up the taste!
